Gary Papa dies
« on: June 19, 2009, 03:34:10 PM »
Gary Papa, one of WPVI-TV's most respected anchors, died less than an hour ago after a long battle against prostate cancer. I just heard about this while flipping to the AccuWeather channel when I caught Jim Gardner trying to hold his tears as he made the reporting. He was 54 years old.

Wow...unbelievable. I've been watching him on Action News for years. It's sad to see him succumb to something like that. It's been quite a battle for him. May Gary rest in peace now. :(
