For two years Charter has been disputing over the HD feed of my local CBS affiliate. Today I read an article in the paper that said Charter will no longer carry the CBS affiliate @ all (SD and HD) as of 12/31/08 (a dandy way to end the year :cry3:).
The owners of the CBS affiliate are major tight wads. They said their signal has value. Bull does it have value when you can get it for free.
I say Charter is right in this situation! :hammer:

Is it even legal for a cable company to remove a major channel like CBS from their lineup? :o

Well Dish Network did it.

They can carry whatever the hell they want. Or "uncarry" for that matter.

the FCC may step in if someone complains... usually if someone pays for a lifeline service, you get all the government channels like CBS, ABC, NBC, etc...

I heard Charter is coming close to an agreement! That's a shock!
