Title: Any ideas?

I am thinking of starting a website, but I don't want another TWC fan based community thing (Eg. TWCC, TWCT, etc.). I want to know what you guys would find good use of someones time.

I've already made an account with GoDaddy to start a website, but what should it be about? What would be a good use of someones time?

Well, weather. I want something that a TWC enthusiast would find interesting... and auctualy visit. I dont want another one of those unsuccessful TWC/Weather community...

EDIT: I just wanted to add, I want it to be a topic that can have a forum B)

I've been told that me starting a website would be a failure, just because of my age ( :club: ). I feel like I would be committed to the website it's self, and the forums. Anybody agree with the bold text? I just find it upsetting that I would tell me this already, even when I didn't get any chances.

Well, I do need to find board software, from IPB hopefully. If so, how many people would you think would join and actually participate?

Which part of it is ridiculous?

I've downloaded the SMF 1.1.8 forum software. I will base it off of weather, twc (Kinda a mix), and more things that people will find interesting :yes:

I would actually go with 2.0rc1 (like these forums) as it's almost near a full release now and imo, easier to upgrade.

I am making preparations to build the site's draft. This is going to be in a .png format.

And about the name, I haven't completely come up with it yet. You're name suggestions would be greatly appreciated :smoke2:

Remember, this site is all about you guys. You guys can decide on what features it will have included in it. It is supposed meet the users needs, though, for anything to be included in the website, it needs to be verified with me first. Keep comming up with suggestions :biggrin:

EDIT: On the name, I just got an idea. Why not just wall the website Weatherstar :whistling:

Quite frankly, I have to agree with whomever told you you aren't old enough to get into this. You've asked for help every step of the way so far. If you can't do anything for yourself, then its gonna be awful hard to run a site and forum. Your members aren't going to want to be your in house tech support department. :no:

Baaicly, I have been asking, but it was lazyness on my part in my opinion. I need to work on a good website layout, graphics, and all of that stuff. This won't even be donemin one month, as far as I know.

Yesterday, I was rushing. I've decided to budget my time, and work on one part at one time.

Therenlies my problem. What should it be about? In my mind, I say weather.

As you can see, really good and nice pictures that someone donates can be put on the home page (With the pictures owners permission). Obviously, they need to be resized, and those pictures were examples. I am also thinking about a new background (Lighter toned, tiled, mosaic looking).

And as well to this picture, there will be way more text when the whole site it finished(I estimate about 1 month till its completed).

Any comments on this picture :whistling:

Thats what I was thinking as well :yes: I'm thinking about doing a blue/purplish color for the background (It will probably look kinda bad, as I am bad at picking colors lol)
