How much homework do you guys get per night?
-
3 - 4 hours of homework...lately that has been the case. but typically not a lot.
-
For me, not much, but so much. SOmetimes when my block schedule teachers decide to give huge amounts
-
A LOT of hwk. 8 hrs worth
-
What! 8 Hours. Your high school life must be tough
-
I don't believe you get 8 hours of homework, Thunder  Sorry.
I usually get about an hour or so. but i normally do it all at school in class, or in the morning.
-
That's how much I get. I remember that my principal said my teachers will try not to give much homework
-
I dont averagely get 8 hours of hwk but since im in the hospital and i have alot of catching up to do, its 8 hours.

Well.. it would have been nice if you would have let us in on that  :P

I usually get 3-5 assignments a night on weeknights (Mon-Thur), but this weekend I have more homework than usual for a weekend. I guess they want to get as much done as possible before Thanksgiving break (we have off Thursday-Sunday next week). Normally I get most or all of it done in my study hall/study skills periods. Everyday I get two study periods (each class/study period here is 42 minutes), except for Tuesdays where I get three. So I have plenty of time to get my homework done at school.

Really Mike! That much on a weekend. My English teacher and History teacher gives homework on the weekends, but not that much. That aveerages to about 2 hours

That could be make up work

It gets the hardest in college. Plus in college, you have to worry about other stuff besides studies such as tuiton/fees, room, insurance, food, etc.

Speaking of college, my History teacher Mr. Klempa's goal for us is to get into college. He can get us there in the following ways
We must study hard
We should score well on tests and benchmark exams
We should complete all our homework
We should be able to write CCEJ's
We should take notes
-
note taking is the worst of all

You don't think college is free do you? All the academic preparation is great, but its worthless if you can't afford to go to college. The average tuition these days is many thousands of dollars.
-
Yes i was planning to go to Stanford which tuiton is 33k but by the time i get to go there in 2011, it'll be well over 50k

Gary, I didn't say college is free. Obviously no, it's expensive. My history teacher's goal was that.

Thunder, you are planning to go to Stanford. I went there on the week before the first day of school. I stayed 3 nights. It was a good college tour. I am planning to go to MIT in Massachussetts
