August 15 marks 5 years since TWC changed their logo.
-
Hmm interesting! My how the years fly by
-
Agreed! It feels like just yesterday I was posting the new logo on TWC Classics...

The day that officialy marked TWC's decline.

Great move by TWC IMO. Those were the days I watched the most before they went HD
-
WOW! Can't believe it has been that long. And it's also been almost 5 years after Katrina. Crazy.
-
Time sure flies these days. I wouldn't have realized it had been that long already without someone telling me here.
-
I did not watch TWC around August 2005 (even though it was my 3rd year) because I toke a break to watch cartoons. Also, I did not watch that much TV during that time. However, I did remember seeing the current logo for the first time in September (like a few days before hurricane Rita came to Texas) during a rainy weather. Then, I watch TWC a lot (expect early spring 2007) before late 2008 because it was still watchable before they show news and overhyping the oil crap that is not weather related.

I dont think that was supposed to be funny
To be honest, I havent seen TWC truly jump the shark. When they do some news, they can apply some sort of weather into it.

Sorry, I just thought this  picture was funny.
But to be honest, I think TWC reached its peak durring the second half of the "Live By It" campaign (circa 2003-05). Ever since the relaunch, TWC wasn't the same. One thing that I've always hated since the relaunch is that they would always play that annoying "Storm Alert" music durring hurricane coverage. I personaly don't like it. I also hate those annoying lower thirds and the idea of playing documentries and movies instead of having weather coverage.

I think Martin was trying to say that he's tired of people saying how TWC is declining since he still is a big fan of current TWC, although he can correct me if I'm wrong.

Thats what I was thinking as well
As for those who still constantly say that TWC has been jumping the shark since the logo change, why bother even watching it  Your complaining wont make them go back. Thats like me saying I can time travel back to this date in 2004 and make Hurricane Charley a depression before landfall IMO

August 15, 2005 (Sunday this year) is the official day of the relaunch of the logo/network. I remember because that was the same day of the first day of 7th grade for me and coming home to see a new logo, IntelliStar graphically upgraded all I was thinking was WTF? Why did they change the logo to something so dull and boring as a blue box? I obviously hated it then, but it has since grown on me a lot since.
