Title: 2008 Elections
Post by: wpgh53fan on July 04, 2007, 03:20:10 PM
Who do you guys support?

I kinda wish Miss Cleo would run on a pro-medicinal heroin (*NOTE*: I do not use heroin for medicinal or recreational purposes, but others might) platform.

I can't stand politics. I don't vote, so I won't vote for any of the candidates. But if I HAD to choose one, I'd probably vote for O'Bama.

Well whatever the reason, he is correct. He and I may be the only two adults on this forum.

Hillary Clinton or Fred Thompson.

It ain't possible to be for either of those two.  Their views on how to run this country as diametrically opposed that you'd have to have at least two personalities to even consider having to choose between 'Billary' or Fred.

Thompson:  AGAINST Gun Control
Hillary:  FOR Gun Control

Thompson:  AGAINT Increasing Taxes
Hillary:  FOR Increasing Taxes

Thompson:  FOR Supporting the Military
Hillary:  AGAINST Supporting the Military

Thompson:  AGAINST Abortion
Hillary:  FOR (any reason) Abortion

Thompson:   AGAINST Gay's marrying
Hillary:  FOR THAT.

Thompson:  FOR fighting the Islamic Facists
Hillary:  Against fighting the Islamic Facists

Thompson:  AGAINST More Government interference in our lives
Hillary:  For SOCIALISM (for starters and maybe worse)

I wouldn't vote for Hilary simply because I didn't like the way Bill ran the country.  I wouldn't think that her style of leadership will differ much from his.

Hillary has no chance whatsoever.

That's where I think you're wrong, Gil. I think she has just as strong, if not a stronger chance that O'bama.

Only Obama doesn't have Bill for a husband.

Exactly. The biggest reason why she doesnt have a chance is because too many people hate Bill.

Republican: Rudolph Guliani
Democratic: Hillary Clinton

Both would make great presidents as well as BArack Obama.

I have a feeling that Guliani is going to get quite a few votes because of the fact that he was in the spotlight so much during 9/11.

Not to go too off topic, but I thought Barack Obama was Hawaiian because he was born in Honolulu. I don't think that the African-American population in Hawaii is that big. Only about 1-2% from the US census.

Your not off topic. We're talking about ALL of the candidates here, not just Hillary.  8)

I'm going to vote for Ron Paul in the '08 primary (although I don't think he'll last to Election Day)

Barack hasn't been 'vetted' with the Media Anal Exam (the MAE treatment) just yet.  He has gotten a pass.  This will not be the case as we wind down to '08.  Hillary won't be able to stand it either.

Times will get interesting! :)
