TWC Lays off Staff

I just read on the easternuswx forums that Cheryl Lemke, Dave Schwartz, and Dennis Smith have all been let go.

Hmm, if Dave has indeed been laid off, he's certainly doing a good job at showing up for work today.

I can't see them laing of any OCMs. They are already shorthanded enough as is, and I can't really see them getting rid of any more OCMs.

Another thought:  if the WxPlus meteorologists were indeed merged into TWC, sack them.  They suck (and that's not an understatement).

If we don't see Cheryl on Weekend Outlook on Saturday or Sunday, we'll know it's true... also if they've been laid off, you'd think their demeanor would be affected a little bit, e.g. they aren't their usual chipper selves on air, etc...

I knew someone was going to say that. I'm saying that I hope they don't get laid off. Because TWC as well as every other employer, is laying off large amounts of staff. I don't want either of them to get laid off, TWC can lay off any body they want.

I've heard from a reliable source that nearly all departments within TWC were hit. The OCM department was hit to the tune of 4 positions, however names can't be released until Monday (so I assume their last day is Friday).
