I have no clue. I wish someone would've watched this morning... :(
This is where you're gonna hate me.  I was watching this morning before I went to work...but it was off at 6:50.   <_<

I was thinking Weekend Outlook would go HD first, seeing how some of the people on WO fill in on First Outlook. If First Outlook were to go HD first, and if fill-ins were needed, the fill-ins wouldn't be familiar with the video wall. So if First Outlook is slated to go HD on Monday, then it's likely that Weekend Outlook will be in HD this weekend.

I think they prefer to go by ratings; if anything, Weekend Outlook look probably be last, in competition with WC and DP.

Which LCD display? You seem to speak of a singular LCD display; there are a whole bunch of them in the studio.

Doh! :wall: Sorry. I'm talking about the LCD Display in the side room, the one with the TWC logo and cloud background.

And my question is what is it used for? For example, if we see a radar but with no OCM in front of it, is a camera zoomed in on this LCD display in the side room?  :dunno:

No, in that case, the radar source would be fed directly through the feed without any camera usage whatsoever. Like I said, I'm not yet convinced that the big TWC logo and cloud backdrop is an LCD screen. That logo and backdrop were there from the minute they installed the piece.

Now that all three of the evening shows have transitioned to HD, we'll no longer see the EE backdrops in the old studio anymore.

That's very true. Farewell, old backdrop!
Well, it's not quite time to bid farewell to the old EE backdrop - as apparently PM Edition Weekend is still in SD.

Huh, Heather is off today, so instead of Marshall doing a live teaser, he did a recorded teaser solo despite the fact that Nicole is also anchoring. What was odd, however, is that unlike all of the other recorded teasers, the opener for YWT was still done live instead of as a part of the teaser package.

It looks like their normal floor director is also off today. Speaking of which, it seems that only the high priority shows (YWT/A&B/EE) are using a floor director; the other shows are done just like in the old studio with directions coming only from the director in the earpiece and the countdown lights on the cameras. EEWC started out with a floor director, but I think they might have phased that out by now. I think I remember Kyle saying something about having extra staff on hand for the first week in HD.

EDIT: Despite it being Monday, they still called Eboni Deon in to work as Travel Analyst. Even if Cheryl Lemke had experience in the HD studio, I still would wonder if they would put her on YWT. Is she too "matronly and dowdy" to be allowed on the show?

After having problems with the aforementioned teaser in the first hour, they completely dropped it for the second hour and went straight to the opener. I wonder what they'll do for the third hour, but I'll never know because I'll be sleeping. Good night (or morning), all!

Yeah, they just went straight to the opener at 8 AM CT as well.

I just noticed that there is a gray TWC logo in the area behind the PME set.

Yeah, but I don't really like them. Why are they grey?

I wonder what the source on that timeline is, but it does sound pretty feasible.
