I noticed that!  There was a black screen with no music where the opener should have been, and I even turned on the TV, wanting to see the opener.  Luckily, everything was fine for the second hour.

I'm already liking the presentation of the weekend version better than the weekday version; there are a lot more wide shots of the studio and usage of different areas of the studio. I liked the way Kristin at the wall tossed to Adam at the LCD screen on the right to do the forecast for the South.

Now they're using the projector version of the Weekly Planner maps at the key wall, causing it to get cut off a little on the edges.

For the first time this week, they're actually using a semi SD-friendly camera shot at the projector wall. It actually now looks like Adam us up at the key wall and not the projector wall. Sure, some parts of the maps are cut off, but everything is actually easy to read.

What do you think about the cut-off content though? Do you think they should keep the camera shot and re-work the maps to make them more friendly to that shot? "That sounds like a plan" to me.

That's much better. I had a difficult time seeing the maps before.

Hey, "you guys," it looks like Master figured out how to use both sides of the projector screen tonight. I wonder if we'll see this for all editions of EEWC from now on.

I just noticed this during one of Julie Martin's live reports: The square things on the microphones (they have a name, I forget that they're called at the moment) now have  the TWC logo on two sides and the |HD| logo on the other two alternating sides.

It looks like all mics have not received the update. Jorma Duran's mic from his live shots tonight in Wisconsin does not have the |HD| sides.

They're called mic flags.

Strange. Watching the 2 AM ET rebroadcast and some of Julie Martin's recorded shots were in HD, but others were in SD with the |HD| pillarbox bars on the sides of the screen.
