No check with Ricky Bell at 6:40 like they used to do at that time; they're still doing it during FO, though.

They did, however, do a comprehensive Travel forecast during that segment. That's a plus.

Gotta say...everything flows really well, graphics-wise.  The new LDL blends very well with the on-screen graphics package.

The maps on the wall don't look nearly as nice in SD; I see what folks are saying about the stretched out look with the wall on top and the floor on the bottom. It probably looks like a downgrade to some SD viewers.

Anyone else think the last few notes of the YWT Weekly Planner opener sound like the "You Need Us, The Weather Channel" jingle?

The music in the "island" HD ad reminds me of the 1998-2001 signature, as well.

i wonder what will happen to weekend view- will they be moved to the big desk too....my guess is that they moved their HD Cameras from the a & b / wv studios to the HD Studio, but thats just my guess.
