The September 2003 Relaunch
« on: March 15, 2009, 10:07:16 PM »
Ok, I know a fair amount about TWC's Sept. 2003 Relaunch. I know that a few new shows debuted, and they upgraded each shows graphics, started using Stephen Arnold's music for the show opners, and changed the map title bars. Were there any other major changes? I only occasionally watched TWC back then...one thing I did notice was that their presentation of the weather seemed much more...relaxed(casual?) I guess is the word. Anyone else have any more info?

Yeah I noticed their style is a bit more relaxed and "enthusiastic" than it was before, but I didn't notice this until around 2005 or so.

Only for it to be changed for the second time several months later to make way for the DirecTV LDL.

this is true, it did take a while for them to "relax" a little....I have a feeling that Stephanie Abrams would not have fit in well at the "old" TWC

She would not have. You're absolutely correct.

Really? Wow, I didn't know that. Did they have ETF forecasts during the overnight hours too back in Sept 2003?

IIRC, the ETF was actually discontinued in 2005 when Overnight Outlook was discontinued.

Correct.
Was the music that played during the ETF's the same as the overnight playlist?
