yeah, someone was lucky enough to catch the transition live on air, not sure who it was was...anywho, i believe the other backdrops (as they were called) were stored behind the lighting (i think) except for the one being used, then when it was time for a change, they'd do something to swap them around

maybe kyle (canadian) would know more about that...or some other members.

On a side note, how does TWC change the backdrops in the old studio for the segments now?

Same as they always have. ;)

Al, you're pretty much correct. Basically, the backdrops that aren't being used are stored off to the side in the wall, and when you want to switch, put the current backdrop in the wall and then pull out the one you want to use.

The same way as they always had, except there's no need to put the weekday morning backdrops up anymore. :P

Speaking of backdrops, didn't YWT and/or the weekend morning shows used to have their own side backdrop that was bright yellow and blue? I thought it did at some point during the 2005-2008 era, though now it seemed that all of the morning shows used a First Outlook-esque side backdrop.

so it was done manually? thats creepy. in the video i was speaking about, the backdrop was moving by itself. but the camera was at an angle and only the right side of the backdrop was showing, so maybe it was "pushed" eh.

Sorry Stephen. I'll admit that I didn't read past the first sentence of your post because you had "Al" in the next paragraph. :P

BTW, Al said someone was lucky enough to catch the transition on the air. If it's possible to get that video, I'd really like to see it. :D
