So Surviving the Elements is going to be on again this Saturday! and every Saturday from here on in apparently... This Saturday is Lightning! All be it, my guide INCORRECTLY says it's a new episode from this year...

Umm...according to my guide, it says Surviving The Elements: Hurricanes. So........
You are indeed correct. My fault. Lightning's NEXT Saturday.

Wow, apparently this episode of Surviving the Elements that's airing right now is using the 2003-2004 daytime lower thirds.
Was Surviving the Elements even in production back then? I don't recall seeing it until early 2006.

Yeah, that's the only time new episodes were produced. These (and the ones you saw in 2006) are repeats of that.

Man, you guys are brutal here.  One thing not to like someone's performance but to say they should be fired is something else.

I thought this site was a bit more civil............guess not.

Regards.

Please explain to me how Nicole is an asset to TWC?   OK, she's a hurricane hunter, but what does that have to do with TWC?  Yeah, she reports about the hurricanes, but they have Dr. Steve Lyons for that.  So, please do explain how she is an asset, because I really can't see it.

I am sure TWC would survive without her :P.  Maybe I am a little bias because I don't enjoy her on-air performance, but I just dont see her as an asset.

No one's forcing you to stay here.

Umm, ok... She's on Day Planner every (other Wednesday), Thursday, and Friday. She's just happening to do segments from outside TWC's studios today, too.

Adam Berg is filling in today for Betty Davis (who was on FO again today, I guess).

I never said she should be fired, I just said they would survive without her.  As in when, and if she leaves, they won't go down the tubes. ;)

I dislike the LDA, now I don't get a whole wide screen view of TWC
What is the LDA, and what does it stand for?

They're really taking this outbreak seriously (as they should be). They're on a Storm Alert-like schedule. They started to play ICHT at 2 PM ET, then they quickly cut away with continued coverage bringing in Dr. Forbes. After ten minutes, they went back to ICHT. Then at 2:30 PM, they went preempted ICHT again and continuing to go live. Strangely they're still using the long-form program schedule with one-minute LFs at :29 and :59, and using the L-bar for the other LFs.

I wish TWC would just flat out say they're in "Storm Alert" today just to promote the seriousness of this severe weather outbreak.

Today, they've been using these new titlebars for the Severe Weather forecast graphics:
