reminds me of the time a few weeks ago Paul was there for the first segment of Evening Edition and disappeared with no trace thereafter with no mention of where he went...

That happened recently?

I remember that one time back in February when Paul lost his voice; Carl took over Paul's position like nothing ever happened; it wasn't until the next hour that they said anything about it.

Not noticeably...but you never know if it was something like the stomach flu or maybe worse, or maybe she had a family emergency... :(

By the way, they just showed Billy's pictures again during EE; hopefully they show them again next hour. ^_^

Some notes:

 - The severe weather/hurricane music has been used today for the severe weather in the South.
 - Kim and Nick have done Day Planner, and are still on as of 1:30 Eastern.
 - Because of the previous, it can be assumed Weather Center will be from 2-5 Eastern.
 - Jorma is still on; he is covering snow in Wisconsin.
 - weather.com/tv lists OCM pairings now on the schedule...Nick is no where to be found, Vivian is listed as a pair with Carl Parker (who is listed all seven days) and Mark Mancuso is listed as the only OCM for Weekend Outlook.

Edited to add:

 - This whole "Top Ten Weather Moments of 2008", which I though was only on A&B, then migrated to EE, and now is on Weather Center all next week, preempting the long-form block!!!

And a third:

 - Vivian and Kristina Abernathy on Weather Center.
