Looks like they are continuing to figure out how they using their resources. Warren and Delgado's shift was structured just like their original shift with the same guests, etc.

Honestly, this could be part of the eventual move back to more weather coverage, especially into the night. If they can make it work with one OCM and a locked camera shot (which probably means no cameraman), a skeleton crew could do overnights.

Dave Schwartz will apparently be doing 1-3 PM ET solo (according to comments on Alex Wilson's FB), which means I guess he won't be appearing on WUTV anymore. That's a shame, since "Dave's WOW" was one of the best parts of the show. I don't mind the idea of solo OCMs during the day if it means that we could have more live hours into the night, I just wish they would have set it up better. So the new schedule is as follows:
5-9: AMHQ
9-11: Keith
11-1: Alex Wallace
1-3: Dave
3-6: Chris and Jen
6-8: WUTV

Where does Mark Elliot fit in? Maybe eventually later in the evening?

weather.com has a Purple Rain background image in memory of the musician Prince, who passed away earlier today at the age of 57.

Too bad they did not utilize the special "Earth Day" backgrounds in the LF's (at least they did not on the satellite feed).  I guess they are done with holidays and special days in the LF's.  Arbor Day (April 29th) would be next up but I kinda doubt it.

Just heard production music playing on the air at 8:10 ET this evening. I thought they got out of the habit of playing that since the relaunch. <_<

I noticed some minor programming changes this morning, specifically between :42 and :51 of the hour. First, Weather Center Live was cut short by about 3 minutes and was replaced with an ad block, with a TWC ad somewhere in the middle. After the :49 LF, it was another ad or two meant to cue local headend ads, followed by another TWC ad then it's WCL until :58. Either something may be in the works or TWC just needed the extra ad revenue, though I bet it is most likely the latter.

I noticed that WCL ended a little earlier than normally today before the :48/:49 LF today, I am not sure if it is permanent or not. It could be a programming change, or maybe it was an accident. Who knows.

I had a chance to watch some TWC coverage on July 6th while dogsitting, as I no longer have cable at my house.

I'm guessing they were lying when they said they would have more live hour coverage, because it still has longform during the evening hours. And I'm on the West Coast...which means the channel dies for me at 5 unless it's a Tornado Alley episode in the Real Time form (like the Storm Stories type of way).
