Just noticed these icons on the Xfinity X1 TWC Weather app!  :thrilled:

Those icons look very similar (they may even be the same set) as what was on weather.com right before the November 2013 relaunch ... before the icons became extremely simplified.

Remember back in April of this year when TWC gave out an "apology" for all of the DirecTV subscribers during the dispute earlier this year? Well, you won't believe what I got in the mail today... (56K modem warning)

It looks like that TWC was kind enough to give me this free autograph of Jim Cantore. That was nice of them! It turns out that the freebie they were giving away was an "apology" letter for all of the DirecTV subscribers that were effected during the four month dispute. Either way, I can't wait to frame this!

For some strange reason, Sam Champion is on TWC right now, anchoring the 7pm hour of the hurricane Iselle coverage. Bryan Norcross is co-anchoring with Sam. Kelly Cass and Paul Goodloe are also in studio while Cantore reports from Hawaii. TWC will be live all night covering the hurricanes headed towards Hawaii.

I don't get why the LDL is still blue despite TWC being in Storm Alert mode with the SA music playing during LFs.

If there's one thing i've learned, is that storm mode is never complete. I've never seen a storm alert mode that was completely one color.

Noticed these interesting maps this morning during the "National Park forecast" this morning on WCL.

That looks awesome! They have apparently been doing a lot of remodeling in the newsroom there. Here's another pic from a TWC producer. http://instagram.com/p/qiB9gry3K9/

It seems that they're using the realistic maps now. I hope they do because it looks awesome. Here's a video showing the hurricane expert using the map: http://www.weather.com/video/will-tropics-be-heating-up-soon-52450?collid=/news/weather-hurricanes

Here is another pic (via Michael Lowry) of the new expert desk, which is being called "The Lab." I like the look of it, but the name is a little tacky IMO.

So it wasn't the video card...
By any chance, does this happen within a second (like a flash) or  does it happen longer than a second because this happened to my IS2 within a second.  :dunno:
