TWC is hyping their next winter storm by keeping the scroll on during long form.

It seems they rushed to do this as the background graphic appears to show the art and text safety area marks.
Also it makes no sense to put the video in a smaller window if they are not going to put the LDL on screen all the time.
Keep the video full size and have the scroll at the bottom.
If the storm is going to be this bad do live coverage and take this stupid episode Ice Berg Hunters off.
Hey, at least it isn't red :D

Oh, too bad!   This is the difference between a blizzard and an ordinary winter storm.  Q is considered the latter of the two.  So, this means the long form stays on the air without much in the way of additional coverage.  I've always held that severe weather, though disastrous and inconvenient, makes TWC so much more watchable.

Are you sure about that?   The text is still absent on my STAR.

Same here, on both the IS and IS2.

No Weather.com on the SD feed logo from the IS or the national HD feed LDL logo on FiOS.

The Norfolk IS2 has the text, but the SD doesn't, and over the water in Newport News, both feeds don't have the text. Awfully strange.  :dunno:

Maybe Martin can back me up on this? I didn't check the SD feed in Norfolk.

The 7 Day Forecast never covers 7 Days. Why can't they just call it the weekly forecast?

There have been times, although not as often as I would like, where they have made it through the 7 days in the forecast.....

TWC is still using the old format for the Weekend Forecast.

Odd they changed the 7 Day Forecast and not the Weekend Forecast.
I'm still a fan of the old Weekend Forecast graphics over the new 7 Day version.

Is it just me or does it seem like TWC is trying to have IMAX graphics?

By the looks of it, they want you to feel like it's a red carpet event with spot lights and famous people getting awards.  :rofl2:

Graphically speaking, both make me cringe.  :footinmouth: However, the former style is the lesser of two evils. Of course, it's going to disappear though, eventually.

It's getting to the point that the extended forecast on the LF is the only way viewers will really be able to read and understand what's happening in that time period.  The extended forecast maps used to be really good years ago, but now they're getting really flashy and hard to see what's being depicted.
