Should the SD and HD Satellite Feeds still have LDL's? or should TWC remove them?

I think one of two things should happen.

Preferably, the XL would also get an opaque background so that the satellite feed can keep its LDL, and viewers with both an IntelliStar AND XL can have their own local LDLs.  (4000 and Jr. are in such a minority I won't count them.)

...or...

Less preferably, the satellite feed would lose its LDL so that all the Stars can use theirs again.

The XL's LDL has had an opaque background since September 2003.

But... could the XL be programmed for its opaque LDL to stretch only 3/4 of the way (or thereabouts) across the screen like the Intellistar's can?  TWC isn't going to want to give up that lower-left corner to the local LDLs again.

Technically speaking, they can, but whether they're going to invest the time into doing is very unlikely.

Those are generic ones typically used at local television stations
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

Yup, Default on Max I believe... Are they replacing the other icons with these too?

I don't think there's any such thing as "generic" weather icons.  There are so many that it's really not possible to separate them into "generic" and any other categories, other than describing them by certain attributes.

so far i haven't seen them on the 7 day or anything other than happening now, hopefully soon we'll see the changes on all the basemaps.

I hope the base map is changed too... Its way too dark. I liked the original basemap from Titan, the 2009 version(s).

They've been using those for a couple weeks now. Haven't seen them used anywhere else.

TWC needs to be consistent with its icons! :club: Maybe these were "default" with the program or something, but seeing too many different types of icons can be confusing I think.

That's true.  It reminds me of the 1980s, when certain maps had their own icons, distinct from the icons used on other maps.  Order finally came to TWC when the "Weather you can always turn to" period premiered when "You need us for everything you do" ended and all of the maps finally became coordinated.

I loved the edgy jazz of "You need us for everything you do" and the calm serenity of "Weather you can always turn to."  Oh, that was my youth!!
