The Dish Wxscan thing you guys were talking about earlier. I cannot quote posts on mobile. I haven't heard anything about it since.

I was just wondering about the latest news on it. I thought they would be out with it by now.

At the very end of the :10 segment in the first hour of Weather Center, I heard "OMG" by Usher playing in the background. I find that.. weird...

TWC has slightly updated its online hurricane graphics! They've also added a "tropical cyclones map." Cool! :thrilled: Are these changes also in effect on-air?

The dreaded LDA-only returned with a design similar to the LDL that made HD 16:9 on WUWA <_<

i bet this is permanent, WC might have it also. i'm thinking this is the new LDA to accommodate room for the IS2 LDLs

If I may:  I’m glad TWC brought back the LDA. Ever since TWC debuted the HD LDA/LDL, I’ve liked  the fact that TWC offered more info on the HD LDA/LDL than on TWC’s SD LDL.
When TWC brought on the HD LDL, in testing, it was only on during TWC’s long form programming.  Which I liked because it was a way to get weather info in HD during long form programming.  Long form programming had no weather info before TWC’s HD LDL came on.

As of 10:00AMCT: the old HD LDA/LDL is on DP

As Expected, WC also has the new LDA

so now the LDA will be on the normal HD LDL shows (excluding Longform) and is most likely permanent.

I'm confused. So the 16% LDL that is used on long-form is now ONLY being used on long-form? What about the LDA L-Bar type concept? And how does the LDA make the screen 16:9? :dunno:

1. Yep, i only saw it on Long form today.

2. the L-Bar as far as i've seen was on DP today

3. TWC doesn't care about 16:9 anymore it seems those days are over.

Thanks for clarifying! Although this upsets me because I don't see why a local LDL (for the IS2) and a National LDA need to be used at the same time. <_< Who cares about the weather in another city thousands of miles away from you?
