I think The Weather Channel needs to change its name to The Hurricane Channel. :hammer:

:P
Disagreed. I was never a fan of a hurricane.

It was a joke, Felix. ;) I actually wouldn't want that to happen.

at the 1:10 PDT segment of PM Edition, they were doing a report on the severe weather in Texas, and all of the sudden it all went black...then 5 seconds later Trammel played, and went into commercial early at 1:13 PM PDT.

Show's you how much TWC cares about Texas. <_< :P

Texas has always been an neglected state by TWC

Which leads me to ask a question about regions (please forgive me, this is a little lengthy :blushing:):

Does anyone else think that TWC concentrates heavily on the Northeast? Not to be rude to all of our members in the NE, but to me it seems like TWC talks most about the NE and has the most special reports/graphics for the NE. For example, why was Mike Seidel sent to do a field report for just one day of warm weather?

Now I am surprised that TWC isn't Southeast-crazy since their headquarters, Atlanta, is in the SE. But I guess since two major cities, NYC and Washington, DC, are in the NE region, TWC wants to be certain to cover those two cities. Who knows, maybe most of TWC's viewers come from the NE...I guess it's all about ratings.

Now maybe I am exaggerating. TWC might even talk most about the Midwest. What is certain, though, is that (IMO) they don't talk equally about all four regions and especially neglect the West (sorry Ana, Derek, and all of our other members who live in the West :(). They also, like Al said, neglect certain states. <_<

I noticed that too (and you dont have to be sorry about that!). They seem to not talk too much about the West (especially California)..unless there is a special weather event such as a wildfire or a severe rainstorm.

Kevin hosts WC along with Jim and Alex. ;) (although he doesn't get very many appearances on the show - he is the main fill in when Jim is out though)

Yeah, I didn't realize Kevin was still on with Jim and Alexandra because, like you said Stephen, he doesn't have very many appearances and never gets mentioned.

Thanks for clearing things up, though. ;) I had no idea where Jim had gone for a second. :P

OK, sorry Jesse as this does not answer your question, but that is an awesome shot! :thrilled: I don't think I've seen this "part" of the HD studio before. Annd who's the man in black behind Dr. Steve Lyons?

The old studio made an appearance today when experts Steve Lyons and Stu Ostro were talking with Jim Cantore about Hurricane Bill, which begs the question: what was wrong with the old studio?  I mean, I know that HD worked better with a new studio, but I still think, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and the old studio sure isn't broke.

I made a double take today. At 9:10 PM ET, when they had the "Cantore Cam", I thought I saw three people that look just like Jim Cantore.
