Let's just settle this once and for all as this is getting a little ridiculous.  NHC says Ana should be pronounced as Ah-na, so that's how it should be spoken.  They even mentioned it in the advisory headline:

Quote
...ANA...PRONOUNCED AH-NA...MOVING QUICKLY WESTWARD WITH LITTLE CHANGE IN STRENGTH...

Kim Perez in for Alexandra Steele on WC tonight.

Boooo!
I disagree; I think it's nice to see Kim on in the evenings.

I know. It's quite a change from being used to see her on in the mornings, especially Weekend Now. She seems to be working very well with Jim, though. :)
I've never really been a big fan of Kim.I like Alexandra sooo much better.
I disagreed. Alexandra become worse again in June 2009.
Really? Alexandra is my favorite OCM

Alexandra will always be my favorite OCM, no matter what anyone says!!!
She's #1 and Jim is #2!!!!!!!

Wow, TWC seems to be in Storm Alert already. :P I watched PM Edition this entire hour, and aside from a 2-3 minute Weekly Planner, they pretty much talked about nothing but Ana and Bill, when they are still days away from making landfall.

And that is what really gets on my nerves. :club: What about all the rain in the country that is affecting us NOW, not 5 days away? <_< You are definetely right, Mike...TWC may as well be in Storm Alert. Their position now really is no different from 2006.

I think they may be so excited that the hurricane season has finally begun since it's been quiet and boring for so dang long now and to have 2 maybe even a third on the way is pumping them up, but like you guys said they shouldn't get big heads over this, neither one of those storms are going to hit soon.

It's "An-uh", not "On-uh" Carl.
I prefer pronouncing it "An-uh." "On-uh" sounds weird to me. <_<

I'm afraid that you're right.  We don't know if Ana and Bill will even impact the United States a week from now in any manner, so doesn't it make sense to focus more on what's impacting the country right now and in the immediate future?

You would think it would make more sense to focus on what's impacting the country now, but then again this is TWC we're talking about (no offense to anyone).

But I will say that later on PME, at least they brought up the rain in Florida, including another disturbance. I wonder if it will develop into anything.

The promo for Brian Williams on Katrina doesn't have a Jim Cutler voiceover but an Eric Gordon one. Gordon's biggest client is CNN, and he's done a lot of local stations. Go to southernmedia-nmsa.com, click on Broadcast, then go to to ETC. in the top bar, select Voiceover Artists, then Eric Gordon. His newer stuff is a different sound than even earlier this decade.

I noticed there is a redish glow on the set today. Where is that coming from?

I find it funny how the NHC confirmed this, yet Adam Berg said last night that it's "On-uh" and not "An-uh."
