TWC is continuing coverage of Tornado's in Oklahoma. Don't know how long they'll be live, but better be until all storms die.
At least they have the tornado coverage in full screen on the HD feed. The SD feed ironically still has the blink WATT bar. At least they are preempting their boring reality shows. :) I hope everyone down in Oklahoma and Missouri are alright. BTW, Mike Seidel seemed to be the only one reporting from the storm in Oklahoma City.

The live coverage continues as I speak. I wonder if they will still be on all night?

well, not only did they just preempted programing tonight for coverage of this tornado outbreak, they just played the Storm Alert 2013 theme during the LOT8s just a moment ago.

you know :censored: just got real when they play Storm Alert 2013 on LOT8s.

plus not only that, the regular LDL bar is also on too.

It was off at 7:00 PM CT this evening, but only on the HD feed.

I think TWC did awesome tonight. I was so surprised to see an EF2 Tornado go through Moore almost 2 years later. I had no idea it would be this kind of night. Cars were flipped on I-35 just like May 2013. TWC covered every minute like they were supposed to. Hopefully they go until 2 AM because severe weather is expected till about that time. Let's see.

I'm seeing the national feed and the bar is blue?

And now TWC is back to its regularly scheduled longform shows. Shame on them for ending already, Weathernation is still covering the tornado outbreak, despite also covering regional forecasts outside of the severe weather outbreak in Oklahoma and Missouri.

TWC is now using the old severe wx themes used from 2008-2013 during live coverage. I like those sounds a lot better than the current WATT Severe wx theme.

TWC is such a disappointment! There were Tornado Warnings in Georgia and Eastern Alabama. What did TWC do?
I think it speaks for itself. All taken at the same time.

I thought they had broke into programming a few times.  I remember seeing Carl Parker going through the radars on the air as a possible tornado crossed into Georgia.

They were on from 8 to midnight Thursday night and again from 8 to 10 last night.

About a few minutes after this was taken Carl Parker broke in for about 2 minutes and went back to long form. Isn't it TWC's job to cover it till the warnings expire? Plus why the heck would they end continuous coverage at 10 even though Tornado warnings were still active? Sure can't count on TWC to cover anything after 10, guess I'll tune in to my local stations where i'm sure they'll be on!

The Wall Street Journal reports Monday that The Weather Channel’s corporate parent, Weather Co., faces a “deteriorating” financial outlook. “Moody’s Investors Service on Friday downgraded the company’s debt, saying it isn’t perceived by cable and satellite companies as a ‘must have’ channel, and could therefore be dropped by more providers or face cuts in carriage fees.”

Not Good News TWC!!! I think it's time TWC change their ways. Rumors now say WN comes to DISH on Wed. Those rumors also say that DISH's not planning to drop TWC but who knows now after that article?
