I just noticed Comcast/Xfinity updated their programming guide for TWC to say, "Breaking/Tracking Arthur" from 5am today to 5am Friday morning.

TWC Has entered "Red Mode" with the LF Playing the storm alert music, but the LDL and sidebar are still blue.

The FiOS guide shows TWC live to 2pm Friday though if the storm is still active I doubt they would go to long form programming.

It's interesting that TWC recycled footage from the 2002 baseball-themed Weather Center opener to a 2011 LF opener.

The Weather Channel is notorious for reusing stock footage from any given time at all. Examples include Cheryl Lemke in the 2003-2005 Weekend Planner Intro, which was originally used in 1998/99, and the guy shoveling snow in the Winter 2003-05 Afternoon Outlook intro being reused in a late 2009/early 2010 Weekend View LOT8s opener.

I noticed that today the intellistar cuing seems to be very off (3 seconds at least). Happening for anyone else? Know it can be a local thing\national thing   so thought  I would ask.

I notice that TWC has better coverage for the typhoon in the WPac than Hurricane Arthur that actually made landfall in the US.

I think it's local, because it hasn't been happening to me lately. Only happens to me during long form.

Are you sure, IIRC they just kept talking about Arthur on every show, and even made the Lower thirds show Arthur on the radar, and didn't show anything else but Arthur, unless severe weather was happening.
