8:47AM CT, nothing yet but I did see something that caught my eye, When Maria was doing the intro for the CNBC Segment, I saw what looked like a newer version of The TWC Logo on the touch screen. It spun around a few times, and it looked very classy. Has that always been on the touch screen when they’re not using it, or is it new?

Also, I forgot to mention this earlier but it seems like TWC has a little interference going on this morning. It’s not all the time but, you do notice it. Is that any clue?

looks like it didn't have anything to do with TWC after all

Oh well, that’s disappointing!! I wish Mike would have been clearer in his tweet as to what he was referring to.  Has anyone heard news or rumors of any update is coming to TWC? Aren’t we supposed to have a new Local Forecast by the end of the year or did I make that up?

There was a commercial for Quibids I saw earlier today, and it was playing the same background music that TWC used for their 2010 weather.com "Makes Your Life a Breeze" ads.

Heather Tesch was just showing her Facebook page on air, and her cover photo was of her and Samantha Mohr.  Needless to say, they pulled that off the screen real quick.

I've been watching TWC for a while now for the coverage of this storm. But I haven't heard them mention one thing about how 11 states in the east are now under some wind related advisories. TWC seems to see only the severe weather threat and flooding threat, yes I know, severe weather can include wind, but the wind I'm talking about is not caused by the severe weather.

EDIT: Finally, they did.

My Weather Station

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

I heard it several times the area was under High Wind Watches, or something, Monday night.

"Shawn Reynolds @TWC_Shawn
The Weather Channel will be LIVE on the air until at least 8pm EDT to track the #severe weather threat for #DC & #NYC"

Noticed at  5pm they have switched to the hurricane coverage lower thirds.

Everyone. What kind of new graphic designs would you have in mind for the weather channel's bumpers and intros and map graphics? I thought of a few ideas. Like a checkerboard theme. A City Theme with the weather channel logo on walls and clouds and stuff with real people. I have other ideas to. Its sad that they don't have any theme what so ever. Plus they just let all the other shows except the weekday morning ones rot away graphics wise.

Someone at TVNewstalk noticed the Male OCMs are no longer wearing their suit jackets.

I'm surprised no one ever mentioned it here. I guess no one ever pays attention to current TWC anymore. :P

I point you guys, to this:
The male OCMs are still jacketless ever since Isaac passed through the US... I honestly feel they should be wearing their blazers/jackets as it makes them seem a little more professional. I mean, I don't really need to see what type of undershirt they have on underneath their dress shirts, if they even have anything on underneath... Just my opinion...

Is Day Planner using a new set, or have I been missing something? Regardless, they look like Smurfs when doing the weather due to all the blue lighting around them.  :hmm:

I don't think this has been posted... I was doing a search to see if anything would change with Weather Central since our local CBS affiliate is setting it up for their HD weather graphics now. I found most of it interesting.
