We'll since its designed in graphics, its more cost effective when they want a studio that looks a certain way for a segment. You could have all the studios you want. Why they need it, no idea.

Ive seen many 3D studio attempts and all look cheesy. I imagine this does too. Its just a two sided green screen anyway

Same here. The only one I've seen pulled off well is NBC's 3D election set. That was kind of cool.

Well that's a disappointment. I hope they don't do that on a regular basis. That's not what 3D sets were intended for IMO. They might as well be in front of the video wall (it would probably look better!).

I saw this last night and was gonna ask if that was the 3D studio they were using or just a chroma key wall either way there's nothing special about it and looks like another FAIL of wasted money.

With 3D TVs now out in the market, I wonder if this was a deliberate ploy on TWC's part to attract those viewers.

There really aren't that many people with 3D Tv's and there isn't all that much content for them either.
