After using the Day Planner lower thirds for the first four minutes of Weather Center at 2 PM ET, the control room finally realized their mistake and started using the correct blue Weather Center ones.

1:50PM: The Tropical Update was brought up a little too late since there was just a black screen with the LDL for a few seconds.

They started off WWC with Evening Edition music, but they quickly switched it to the WC music. Also, after the opener, the two-person lowerthird called Carl Cheryl Lemke. :huh:

hahaha. i saw both of those errors....i was lying down watching the lf then they started off with the familiar EE Theme then within a split second it changed...i told myself "HA - Caught that" :P (seeing how twc loves to cover up their errors), then the lowerthird popped in (it didn't animate, or fade in) and it said cheryl...what an insult.  :P

I'm trying to figure out if WWC is still master controlled or if it's back to full control. The production values seem better than they used to be, but of course, that doesn't tell us anything for sure.

Something got screwed up at the start of YWT today that caused the whole teaser/opener combo to take a whole ~55 seconds, with most of the time being spent showing the frozen opener on the screen.

The positive side? They played through the whole YWT theme without anyone talking over it, and I have it recorded! I'll post it later today.

Just when you thought they couldn't do any more, they just played the whole theme once and a half! I don't get it; it's not like Marshall and Bill had to move from their original positions at all.
