At 5:01 PM CT, they used an Evening Edition lower third. They noticed it quickly, though, as it disappeared after a second, and a few seconds later, used a PME lower third.

They're also using the normal LIVE tag tonight instead of the PM Edition one, even though it's being full controlled (master controlled PME Weekend never uses their own live tag for some reason).

They've now switched over to the normal PME Live tag now.

BTW, AFAIK, master control can't use customized Live tags.

So if we see show-specific Live tags (like those on PM Edition, EE, A&B, Weekend View), it means that show is full controlled?

Sigh, yes Master can, they all come from a frame sync which can be frozen with ANY key.

However, TWC doesn't seem to be using them anymore on master control for some reason.

Yes. However, sometimes (I've seen this happen on PM Edition and Weekend View), they will use the normal LIVE tag on a full controlled show. And, First Outlook, Your Weather Today, Day Planner, and Weekend Now do not use their specific live tags anymore, even though they're full controlled shows (except for the 12 PM CT hour of Day Planner).

I understand what you're saying; I'm just saying that Master doesn't use the show-specific Live keys any longer; they just use the generic blue one.

Kyle, I think your misunderstanding. Your confusing can't with doesn't. It's not that they can't, its that they don't seem to.  ;)

BTW, Kyle, do you know exactly what happened when Master Controlled shows upgraded their production capabilities (which is also when they stopped using custom Live keys)? Is this when they moved into the new (HD capable) Master Control room that was mentioned in several articles?

I left in late 2005 so I am not too too current with what is happening or what has happend since then. Once I return back to Atl I will try to bring everyoneup to date with the happenings and exact workings of things.

I caught what was meant from that sentence later on down the road lol, but he did say
