At 4:41 PM ET, when showing an infrared satellite of Hurricane Earl, the label on Hispaniola said "Haitii."

Well, Haiti occupies the western tip of Hispañola, :)

It was spelled "Haitii" with two "i"s at the end.

A few times last night on Weather Center, Bryan Norcross was having some issues advancing the maps, and made it VERY clear.  In mid-sentence he'd say "Alexandra, the map needs advanced," or "Having problems, Chris you might need to advance the system." (something like that).  I found it funny.  He seemed to be annoyed by it.

On the 7 PM hour of WC, a lower third said that Earl was currently a Category 4 hurricane. But it's currently just a cat 3.

On Wednesday Night, when Earl was a Cat 4, one of the bars said: Catagory 5.

On the national SD LDL, the temperature for the Saturday forecast is missing for all cities.

Just a few minutes ago, there was a long black screen and I think it went to a Trammel feed before going to the regular LOT8's with a different song. I'm not sure, since I don't recognize Trammel Starks music. Was it Trammel?

Sorry for this late post. I've been away for a few days.

The 60 second forecast was having issues overnight Aug 31st. In the northeast/upper midwest 32° reports cropped up in 3 Philadelphia locations and one at ... San Diego, MI?
On the southern map, looks like an early season arctic outbreak is heading to the Gulf region at 3 more Philadelphia locations plus Houston.  :brr:

I wish they could find a way to fix that because I find it annoying for it to happen so often like it does.  <_<
