Title: Former "storm consultant" Jamie Simpson
Post by: twcc_hdayejr on November 14, 2014, 08:07:31 PM
Remember him? Used to be on the channel in the late 90s. Anyhow, been up here in Dayton for 15 years, but maybe for not much longer

I haven't seen him on all that much lately.  It's been Rich Wirdzek, the second in command for a while now.

Here's his bio on WHIO-TV in Dayton.

Just an update.   Mr. Simpson took a plea deal on January 20th - 180 days in jail, 177 suspended - the three days were covered by a 30-day treatment program.  He also had to pay $475 for the fine and court costs.
Misdemeanor OVI charge, and no stop sign violation....provided there is no additional OVIs in the next five years.  Two years probation and license suspended for a year starting the day of the crash.

He resigned from his position as Chief Meteorologist on February 9th.
